D1 & D2 series These engines are available from 13hp through to 75hp and set the standard for the highest comfort on board. The low cruising rpm runs quietly with low vibrations along with extremely low exhaust emissions. The compact size of the engines allow for easy installation and is available with a straight or down angled gearbox. All models come standard with a 115amp alternator and are EVC compatible, which enables flexible engine display options D3 series Volvo Penta’s five cylinder D3 is developed from the latest designs in modern diesel technology. This high performance diesel engine is extremely lightweight and compact in size. Combined with features like a common rail fuel injection system, double overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, variable geometry turbocharger, an after cooler and Volvo Penta’s EVC system, the D3 offers world-class diesel performance. D4 & D6 series Volvo Penta’s new generation D4 (four cylinder) and D6 (six cylinder) inboard diesel engines have been re-engineered to deliver more power, improved fuel efficiency, increased reliability and lower the cost of ownership. Available from 175 to – 440hp, these engines offer a fully integrated system (from helm to propeller), that are designed to be perfectly matched to a range of transmissions, including shaft drive transmissions and waterjets. D8, D11 & D13 series Volvo Penta’s D8, D11 and D13 in-line six cylinder diesel engines are developed from the latest designs in diesel technology. These engines have a robust block with a ladder frame, high-pressure unit injector systems, four valves per cylinder, an after cooler, a twin entry turbo system, or in the case of the D13, twin turbo technology.
